Q and A with JO

Q: Do you think that Detroit got better in the trade by adding Iverson and losing Chauncy?

JO: I don’t really pay much attention to that. There are a lot of teams that say they are good on paper but until they actually play together and see what kind of chemistry they have you never really know. I know A.I. personally and I know him as an opposing player, and what he brings to the table is hard work, his intensity, and his level of play, but again Detroit has thrived by being an even-keel team where nobody really looks at each other as being the top player or the superstar. They have a team type of offense and they distribute the ball, and obviously A.I. can score and he’s been a top scorer for many, many years, so you’ll just have to see how that will work out with him at the point guard position with Rip and Teyshaun and those guys needing shots on the wing.

Q: Why do you think Bosh isn’t mentioned with the elite players in the league when he clearly is?

JO: Well he plays in another country and this team doesn’t play on national TV in the states all the time. Players that get the most publicity are guys that are on TV all the time, on TNT and ESPN in the states. Most of the writers and the fans see those players all the time, so as far as what CB does and what he’s doing gets overlooked because he’s in a different country and a different market.

Yes, I’m interested in updates!

JO the team has played a few great games and a few below average games so far this season. Will you guys be able to improve this inconsistency as the season moves on? And do you think the team will be able to move past the first round of the playoffs?
